- 5 / 5By Renae RochollMy husband & I read the great reviews about the Coach Light Inn in Valentine, NE & decided to check it out for ourselves on a return vacation trip to MN.
We were not disappointed. The restaurant is on Main Street. The inside decor is nicely decorated. The restaurant is larger than a normal small town restaurant & appeared to be very clean. The home cooked meals have large portions and the prices are economical. Cocktails are also available.
The waitress was friendly and was able to handle a number of table orders satisfactorily. She checked on us 2-3 times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.
The dinners include choice of salad (lettuce, potato salad or macaroni salad), potato & rolls. The best part is that coffee, tea or iced tea are included in the dinner meal price. We chose the hamburger steak & pork chop dinners. The hamburger steak was cooked to our specification. The 2 pork chops were large. We shared a piece of lemon meringue pie.
